ChatGPT can connect to a financial account through a provider's ChatGPT app or through a custom MCP connector. What it can actually do depends entirely on the provider: some only show a product catalogue, some let ChatGPT draft orders you submit yourself, and a few let it place orders, usually with a confirmation step. Below is every provider in the index that documents ChatGPT support.
